NADMO Operations in Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis has improved significantly in the last 8months of Mayor FF Faidoo’s tenure, Alhaji Kamal Deen
Alhaji Kamal Deen, the Metro Director of NADMO, has commended the Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi, Lawyer F.F. Faidoo, for his effective, results-oriented, and target-driven leadership style.
According to him, the Mayor’s proactive approach and strong commitment to performance have significantly transformed the operations of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) within just eight months of his tenure. He noted that under the Mayor’s leadership, disaster preparedness and response strategies have been strengthened, leading to a drastic reduction in flood risks and other potential disasters across the metropolis.
Alhaji Kamal Deen in an interview on Almighty FM in Takoradi emphasized that the improved coordination, strategic planning, and swift implementation of interventions have positioned NADMO to better protect lives and property. He described the Mayor’s leadership as visionary and impactful, adding that the visible progress achieved in such a short period reflects dedication, focus, and a clear development agenda for Sekondi-Takoradi.
He also added that for the first time in 20 years, Sekondi Takoradi metropolis has a disaster management committee of which the Mayor is the Chairperson together with the metro Police, Fire, commanders, opinion and traditional leaders amongst others.
